“At RMSJ, we believe in making the entire experience of enjoying the sport of show jumping special for our competitors and visitors. Our venue offers a warm and inviting place for people to come together – where new friends are made and old friendships are strengthened. We look forward to welcoming visitors to come spend a day with us!” – John Anderson
The name ‘Rocky Mountain Show Jumping’ is no coincidence. Anderson Ranch, headquarters of RMSJ, is a state-of-the-art equestrian facility located just south of Calgary and minutes past world renowned Spruce Meadows. Situated in a picturesque valley, Anderson Ranch boasts magnificent views of the Canadian Rocky Mountains and nearby foothills.
Visitors of all ages are welcome to come out and enjoy all that the park has to offer. Take a stroll around the grounds and watch riders as they compete at each level of the sport. On any given day, you can expect to see young riders on their ponies jumping in small cross rail classes and some of the biggest names in Show Jumping competing in the Grand Prix area. ROCKY MOUNTAIN SHOW JUMPING (RMSJ), NORTH AMERICA’S MOST PROGRESSIVE VENUE!
Founded by John Anderson, a member of Canada’s Olympic Show Jumping team, RMSJ is an elite equestrian facility and tournament management company with headquarters at Anderson Ranch, just south of Calgary, Alberta and minutes from world-renowned Spruce Meadows.
Our 20+ tournaments each season bring together equestrian athletes from the grass roots to the international ranks of the sport, with annual prize money of over $1 million. Events hosted by RMSJ range from relatively small local tournaments to FEI CSI ranked classes. RMSJ truly has something for everyone and our mission is to ensure our competitors are our number one priority.
At Anderson Ranch, our facility features three all weather footing show rings, three grass competition rings and indoor stabling for over 500 horses. Each year, we welcome over 25,000 visitors to the grounds, as people and families of all ages come out to enjoy the great sport of Show Jumping. Goby’s Grill, our pub which overlooks our two main rings, offers a place where competitors, sponsors, spectators and visitors can relax, meet new friends, and treat themselves to a full menu of delicious food and drink while taking in the competition. Whether you are a seasoned rider, new to the sport, or someone who has never been around horses, John invites you to come out and spend a day at Anderson Ranch during our tournament season!
RMSJ was pleased to be bringing International Show Jumping back to the “Heart of Calgary” after a 30 year hiatus with the launch of Royal West in October of 2014. Royal West is hosted annually at the Agrium Western Event Centre on the grounds of the world famous Calgary Stampede. This 10-day-tournament showcases equestrian talent from across North America, drawing exposure, spectators and competitors to a city that loves the sport. Learn More

Over the past 17 years, RMSJ has grown Anderson Ranch into North America’s most progressive venue. Our aim is to continually invest in our facility so we can bring our competitors the best possible showing opportunities. Whether that means upgrading the footing in our competition rings, or building a pub on the grounds were people can relax and have fun, RMSJ is committed to meeting and exceeding the expectations of its competitors and fans. As our history demonstrates, each year, we strive to do things a little bit better. As you see with Royal West, we have big plans for the future and invite you to come along for the ride!
